You can apply an indoor/outdoor carpet glue — commonly available at local hardware stores — around the perimeter to secure the turf down.
First make sure that your surface is leveled and compacted. Then roll out your used turf and secure it into the ground using 12-inch stakes around the perimeter. It is recommended to place the stakes 1 to 3 feet apart.
First lay your rolls of used turf out and overlap the turf where you plan on making a seam. Your overlap will be about 3 to 4 inches. You will then make a straight cut through both pieces of turf using a utility knife, creating a clean and straight edge. You can then fold back both used turf flaps and apply either a carpet tape or a roofing tape where your seam will be. Both types of tape have adhesive on them and they are commonly available at most local hardware stores. After your tape is in place, fold both turf flaps back down and apply pressure to make sure the seam is in place and secure.
