1. What kind of used turf does RS Global provide?

RS Global offers used grass-like artificial turf known generically as Fieldturf™.

2. Does the used turf have markings on it?

Yes, these rolls of used turf are generally taken from old football fields which contain typical field markings.

3. Can I get all green used turf?

Yes, we often have rolls of all green from time to time.  Please contact us for availability.

4. Does the used turf have a pad on it?

No. We remove the infill when we take up the field.

5. Do you sell the rubber and sand pellets?

Yes, please contact us for pricing and details. Most customers use the turf with no infill.

6. How tall are the used turf fibers?

The fibers on the turf are a little over 2 inches tall.

7. Does the $0.75 per square foot price for used turf include freight charges?

No. Freight is not included in the $0.75 per square foot price. Please call and we’ll provide a personalized quote specific to your needs.

8. How do I install the used turf over concrete?

You can apply an indoor/outdoor carpet glue — commonly available at local hardware stores — around the perimeter to secure the turf down.

9. How do I install the used turf over dirt or stone?

First make sure that your surface is leveled and compacted.  Then roll out your used turf and secure it into the ground using 12-inch stakes around the perimeter.  It is recommended to place the stakes 1 to 3 feet apart.

10. How do I seam the used turf together?

First lay your rolls of used turf out and overlap the turf where you plan on making a seam.  Your overlap will be about 3 to 4 inches.  You will then make a straight cut through both pieces of turf using a utility knife, creating a clean and straight edge.  You can then fold back both used turf flaps and apply either a carpet tape or a roofing tape where your seam will be.  Both types of tape have adhesive on them and they are commonly available at most local hardware stores.  After your tape is in place, fold both turf flaps back down and apply pressure to make sure the seam is in place and secure.  If you have any questions, please contact us and speak to one of our trained associates.
